29-Year-Old Joins League One Club

Oxford United Football Club has announced the signing of 29-year-old goalkeeper Josh Murphy. Murphy, who was born on February 24, 1995, arrives at the League One club on a free transfer after leaving his previous club.

Murphy brings a wealth of experience to Oxford United, having played for several clubs throughout his career, including Newport County, Yeovil Town, and Crawley Town. He has made over 250 appearances at the professional level and has kept numerous clean sheets.

Murphy is expected to challenge for the starting goalkeeper position at Oxford United, which is currently held by Jack Stevens. The club's manager, Karl Robinson, expressed his delight at signing Murphy.

"Josh is a very experienced goalkeeper who has played at a high level for many years," Robinson said. "He is a great shot-stopper and an excellent communicator. We are confident that he will be a valuable addition to our squad."

Murphy is expected to make his debut for Oxford United in the upcoming League One match against Portsmouth on February 28th.
